Dr. Michael Katzap has spent over 18 years as a practitioner and educator in oral implantology. Dr. Katzap graduated from New York University College of Dentistry, and after completing a general practice residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center (BUHMC) in Brooklyn, NY, was accepted and completed a hospital based AAID recognized two-year Implantology fellowship program at BUHMC under Dr. A. Norman Cranin. After graduating, Dr. Katzap entered private practice, in Queens, NY, focused on oral implantology. Dr. Katzap was recruited to be the general residency coordinator at BHMC and in 2001 the director of the Implantology fellowship program in BHMC, a position he held till 2010. Dr. Katzap has been a literature review editor for the Journal of Oral Implantology since 1998; Dr. Katzap has lectured nationally, including the New York AAID Maxicourse, the Greater New York Dental Meeting and internationally on head and neck anatomy as it relates to oral implantology, implant surgery, bone grafting procedures and techniques.

Dr Mirela Shveys, OMFS, DMD, MD is a Certified Specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Israel and Romania. She graduated the residency program at Rambam Medical Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel in 2007. Dr, Shveys has a double doctorate degree, and graduated the Faculty of Dental Medicine in 1998 with Faculty of Medicine in 2016 from Gr T Popa University of Medicine and Farmacy in Iasi, Romania. She worked for a couple of years at The Maurice and Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine. Later she worked at the Tel Aviv University in the Maxillofacial surgery department, where she developed her passion for teaching and working with young students and doctors on the art of oral rehabilitation. Since her graduation, she works in private clinics in Romania and Israel, at Arcadia Hospital in Iasi. She is the founder of the Dr Shveys Dental & Maxillofacial Clinic in Iasi. Dr. Shveys is a member of IDA, the Israeli Association of Maxillofacial surgery, ITI (International Team of Implantology), founder of ‘IMPLANT SMART Prosthodontic oriented implantology - continuous education & study groups in Iasi. She continued training in the field of TMJ pathologies, maxillofacial anomalies, implantology and digital dentistry in Israel (Tel Aviv), UK (Oxford), Spain (Barcelona), France (Paris), Netherland (Utrecht), Switzerland (Davos) and Germany (Frankfurt). She is highly experienced with difficult cases of atrophic jaws, maxillary rehabilitation with zygomatic, pterygoid, and nasal implants. She follows her passion for teaching as a speaker in many courses and study meetings with clinicians, young doctors, and surgical trainees.
Oral Surgeon
Dr. Faria graduated in Dentistry from ISCS-Norte 1999-2000. He is a member of the Portuguese Dentistry Order (OMD). He completed his post Graduate in Prosthodontics at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona in 2001. Since 2011 Dr. Faria is a national and international speaker for Nobel Biocare. He completed his post graduate in bone and soft tissue grafts at Implant Brazil in 2016 and a post graduate in Zygomatic implant surgery and Implant Rehabilitation in Brazil in 2017 & 2020 respectively. He became a surgical master in Regenerative Implant Dentistry in 2019 by the Univesity of Szege (Professor Istvan Urban).

Dr. Stéphane Berg is native of Strasbourg, France. He obtained his Doctorate from the Dental University of Strasbourg. After graduating he completed a Master’s in Periodontology. Passionate about implantology, Dr Berg joined the Hospital Cochin in Paris, where he practiced with medical surgeons and dental surgeons, sharing different points of view and experience. He is a specialist in surgery, dental implants and prosthodontics.

Dr. Dudek is a native of Czestochowa, Poland and currently lives with his family in Torun. He came to Zabrze to attend Silesian Medical University, and was admitted to the Dental School of Medicine, where he graduated near the top of his class. Then he was admitted to the Oral and Maxillofacial department in St. Barbara`s hospital (Regional Traumatology Centre). During his work, he completed over 3,000 oral surgery and implantology procedures. While there, he also did original research in the area of oral surgery and cardiology, and he defended his doctoral thesis: Platelet function in patients treated with acetylsalicylic acid in the aspect of dental surgical procedures. Research Dr. Dudek continues to this day, with publications in local and international journals. He is also a diplomate oral surgeon, a title given after passing specialization state examination. He is scientifically connected as a volunteer with the Department of Histology and Cell Pathology in Silesian Medical University. Dr. Dudek continues his research in the area of dental surgery and implantology, with particular emphasis on the odontogenic cysts and tumors of the jawbone in the surgical and histological aspects.
Oral Surgeon
José Camelo Ferreira is an Oral surgeon living and working in Algarve, Portugal. He is a member of the Portuguese Dentistry Order, the OMD, and he is a national and international speaker for Nobel Biocare since 2011. Dr Ferreira graduated with a BDS/DDS FROM ISCS Sul in Portugal in 1998, and afterwards studied prosthodontics in Madrid. In 2014 he became an Associate Fellow of the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation. Dr Ferreira then went on to study advanced Implantology and hard and soft tissue management at Implant Brazil, São Paulo, in 2015, where he continued to study zygomatic implant surgery and rehabilitation until 2020. In 2017 he received an Oral Surgery Specialist Degree from the OMD. Since 2017 Dr Ferreira has been the Portuguese head leader of SmileTube.tv, which offers online and practical courses all over Europe and in the US. In 2019 Dr Ferreira received the title of Surgical Master in Regenerative Implant Dentistry from the University of Szeged, Hungary, under Prof. Istvan Urban, and he is currently an Assistant Professor in various courses on Advanced Oral Surgery in Portugal and Brazil.

James B. Fine. DMD, has been a full-time faculty member at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City for over 30 years. He has held a variety of academic and administrative roles including program director for Postgraduate Periodontology and academic dean for both predoctoral and postgraduate education. Currently, Dr. Fine is the senior associate dean for Postgraduate Education and Student Affairs. He is also the chief practice director for Columbia Doctors Dentistry faculty practices. Throughout his career he has participated in funded research, coauthored textbooks, and been published in peer-reviewed journals. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on periodontics, implantology and dental education. Previously he owned several private dental offices in New Jersey but now practices exclusively for Columbia Doctors Dentistry in Manhattan. Dr. Fine’s organized dentistry experience includes serving on various committees for the American Academy of Periodontology. He is a member of The International College of Dentists and is board-certified in both periodontics and dental implant surgery.
